About Ephraim's Bridge

"We have an audience of One. We sing for Him alone."

"Hey, you guys rock!!"

That common, simple phrase is often heard after seeing and experiencing Ephraim's Bridge. Mixing Southern Rock and Blues, Classic Rock and Acoustic Worship, the band reaches a broad spectrum of interests and ages. To understand who and what EB is, let's go to the beginning.

Barry [rhythm guitars and vocals] and Laura [vocals] pastored churches and led worship for about 20 years, always looking for that certain, fresh sound that would make meaningful impact and bring about a sense of the Creator's Presence. That task often meant struggling against congregational desires for the sounds of tradition and familiarity. Their journey led to Gloucester, Virginia where they met Joyce [vocals] and her passion for worship.

Enter Den [lead guitars and vocals] and Daniel [drums]. Having been raised in Florida to the sounds of Southern Fried Rock, Den played in the hot spots of Florida's panhandle, developing his licks and defining his sound. Having returned to church, Den found himself leading his family to Virginia for unknown reasons. That reason now is obvious. He needed to hook up with Barry and Laura, joining the church band and, along with son, Daniel, began to craft the beginnings of a new sound.

In 2005, having seen the need to return to the Hebraic roots of understanding Scripture, Ephraim's Bridge became a part of House of David; a Torah based House of Study. Freed completely from demands of tradition and religion, the band honed in on the sounds found in the heart.

After bassists came and went, the need of the bottom end groove was finally found when Johnny joined. Adding Brien [guitars] brought the fullness needed to achieve that unique and satisfying sound called Ephraim's Bridge.
